What was interesting about this conversation, among other things, is her move from a more traditional math teaching approach to something I might describe as sort of teacher-led inquiry.

I wouldn't characterize it as full-on inquiry in the ways that we often talk about here, but it is interesting to see and hear from her how she has moved from a more traditional approach to something that includes more inquiry and the reasons why.
