So there's a line of three films that goes from Sleuth 1972 to Death Trap, which we're obviously talking about today.
And let's get this out of the way.
There will be a lot of spoilers, folks.
There's lots of plot twists.
Now, first of all, have you seen those three films? I assume you have.
Have you seen two of them at
least? I've seen two and sort of begrudgingly, I think...
think I watched all of the third one I may have turned it off I think it was one of those horrible curios that I thought I had to see because it's Michael Caine being a Michael Caine fan as you and I both are same as do you know I haven't seen Get Carter that one I have the remake
I haven't seen that deliberately oh it's awful
yeah I imagine it to be and the sleuth one I don't know why I did actually put it on but I cannot remember if I've watched all of it or not and it really doesn't matter if I have or not mate to be honest
yeah the thing they tried they did put it in a claustrophobic house rather than obviously Olivier had the big house I would recommend people just have a watch of it or maybe you could watch it and get to the end of it but the thing that really threw me was that I don't mind Jude Law he's fine you know He's obviously, interestingly, you said it was reversed from Sleuth and you're right.
But when he comes back as the detective, you know, when Kane's in disguise in the original film, it's so obvious.
Even if you'd never seen the original, you'd be like, hang on a minute, that's Jude Law.
Yeah.
The thing I remember most about the remake of Sleuth, it was a lot colder than the original.
Yeah, the original one was so much fun.
There was a lot of mischief in the first one.
And this one just seemed...
A bit cold-hearted.
It really didn't have the same...
Well, it's one of those pointless remakes.
We talk about them all the time.
