HR 2: Nick Farabaugh Joins the Show, NFL Hot Takes & Leaders

This is the Steelers Report with Brian Bacco and Ed True on Steelers Nation Radio, a part of the Steelers Audio Network.

Great stuff as always from our good friend Nick Farabaugh from PennLive.

And Double B, you know, the audio is what we just heard, but we do have video, so make sure you check out all of our Steelers Nation Radio social media handles on Instagram, X, Facebook.

We'll have some video up from that interview, and you'll see Nick Farabaugh.

I, I've told Nick before he looks like he could still play football.

I, I know he did-- I don't think he played beyond high school, but, uh, my man's ready to go.

Just put a helmet on Nick Farabaugh, get him on the field, and he can contribute the, as early as this Sunday in Tampa Bay.

Yeah, our guy definitely knows ball, uh, that's for sure.

I don't know about playing ball in 2026, but, uh, always happy to have Nick on the show.

And circling back on something we, well, I brought up to him at the end, I, I do remember that being a pretty spirited joint practice last year before, between the Steelers and the Bucs.

I, I remember-

Yeah

... being pretty, pretty impressed by Bucky Irving as a pass catcher.

A, a lot of the times with these NFC players, especially NFC South, you know, they're not really on your radar too much.

So, um, Irving impressed me as a pass catcher.

Mike Evans was there that day, though, and he's obviously not with Tampa anymore.

He was difficult to stop.

Emeka Egbuka looked really good.

Chris Godwin, uh, I think Chris Godwin was out there that day.

Uh, but I think the Steelers, you know, made their share of plays too.

Jacob Parrish, though, uh, Bucs corner, he w- he's small but feisty.

Uh, he was giving people a, a tough time.

So I was really enjoying watching the, the wide receiver DB match-ups that day, and throw tight ends in that mix too.

I think I remember Pat Freiermuth, uh, having a, a solid day at the joint practice at Acrisure Stadium with Mike Tomlin's Steelers against Todd Bowles' Buccaneers, and then they played in the preseason game.

Jalen Daniels obviously wasn't a part of that.
