like last five ten years i'm trying to think right now off the top of my head to be fair though it's like it's kind of hard for me to say because like the majority of everything i've been listening to as of recent has literally been like interpol placebo and like like wilco and all of them are like from the 90s and the 2000s i'm kind of just like stuck in my kind of like small niche of anything um one band that we do like matthew is uh julie they're the kind of like a shoe yeah he's rock kind of band
they're like a they're like a kind of grunge core band from la um they're definitely i mean they've been on the rise for the past couple years but i think they've definitely got they're quite a niche audience i would say i don't think they'd have like the staying power for like a stadium tour but yeah they're they're definitely very interesting band to listen to yeah
definitely
they're definitely one of they're one of my favorites for sure um they've just got such a unique sound to them that like no other band has really captured as well i think
uh i'm trying to think of anyone else right now just off the top of my head um Like, do you
guys like Wonder Horse, for example?
Oh, Wonder Horse are really good.
Yeah, I do like Wonder Horse.
Wonder Horse has definitely got it.
I think, like, in comparison, though, I think, like, Wonder Horse are, like, still good for, like, a small-ish kind of venue.
Probably something similar to, kind of, like, Barrowlands, which you could sell at, like, a few thousand.
Like, I'm not too sure if they'd be able to do something in comparison to, like, maybe, like, a stadium tour or anything like that.
Good dog.
Wonder
Horse has that sticky floors vibe to me.
that I think like adds to adds to the experience
well you have to rip your Doc Martens off like a really sticky thing yeah
absolutely that's a good experience so like if there's a sticky floor that can just probably be a good night what about you Cameron anyone that stands out for you like in more recent times
In recent times, I'm not really the kind of person that's more about style power kind of stuff.
I'm more like keeping my head to the floor, so I think I like cult things for specific genres.
So I think one band that's probably more on the new side, in terms of impact on the wider scene around it, I think for me is Gilliband.
I mean, that's from early 2010s onwards, but I think there's a lot of effect they had from the windmill scene going forwards and stuff like that, so it's quite noisy, discordant elements in post-punk that have been quite influential going forwards from a lot of bands.
