Christopher McDowellGuestHorstHostWilliamHostBrianHostI am a teacher.
William is a teacher.
I think Brian wants to become a teacher.
Is teaching and running games somehow related? Do you acquire traits that you can use?

There's definitely, I think, like a huge crossover in people who, I think especially people who make games or at least are like very involved in games.

There's like a huge, the Venn diagram between people who've been involved in teaching one way or another and people who are very interested in games.

I remember being out at a convention for like, went out for dinner after a convention somewhere and there were like 20 people at the table.

and I was talking to someone and they said, oh, I used to work as a teacher.

And then the person next to them said, oh, and I used to work as a teacher.

And we checked and I think like out of 20 people, 18 had been a teacher at some point at this table.

I do think there is probably something there in the If you, teaching a class is kind of like running a game, I guess, in that you are trying to make sure everyone is happy and having a good time and being appropriately challenged and also not causing mayhem and biting each other.

So there is like a weird crossover and I don't, there's gotta be some kind of study into this somewhere because it's too big to just be coincidence, I think.
I find being patient is incredibly important, but you seem to be the least patient man on the planet.
When I look at your designs, it's, you know, I want to start now.
I don't want to explain anything.
We don't have to level up.
Now is the fun.

Yeah, I've said that like it's impatient design is kind of the pattern that I've noticed.

So I do like games that kind of have a pace that you can stop and like smell the roses a little bit and you can have like slower scenes, especially in things like Mythic Bastion where like sometimes you are just spending time in some woods and you're just kind of taking in the scenery.

But I just remember having so many sessions of RPGs sort of growing up where I would play for three, four hours.

And then sort of halfway through, I would think I've not done anything in this game.
