Suzi Petkovski (Part I): Editor, writer, historian and self-described tennis tragic

Hi everyone and welcome to another episode of The Sit Down.

I'm Matt Trollope, a writer and editor for ozopen.com. And I'm Victoria Runikov, a producer

here at Tennis Australia and the Australian Open.

I'm introing in place of Viv today because she is living her best life in New York at the US Open, so we're not jealous at all, but holding down the fort here with Matt, which is great.

Matt, why are we sitting down with Susie Bukowski today?

Yeah, well, Susie joined us in studio recently.

A few reasons why it was fantastic to get her in studio and pick her brain.

She's a former editor of Australian Tennis Magazine, which this year is celebrating its 50th year.

And a really nice crossover because Viv is the current editor of Australian Tennis Magazine.

And Susie's basically one of the preeminent tennis writers in Australia.

Not only was she editor of the magazine, but she's gone on to have... an excellent freelance career in the sport, covering the sport for multiple publications and websites.

And she's also a fantastic historian and record keeper.

So we got to kind of pick her brain about a lot of things and her tennis story and how she's watched the sport unfold in her time working in it.

This is part one of two episodes because there will be another Australian Open themed episode that will come out closer to January.

So lots to be excited for as well.
