I did this with them off and on, but I did it formally with two of my daughters when we went to JH Ranch out in California, when we were asked to present a little bit about our relationships.
I told my daughters, hey, we've got to present this in front of a team of dads and daughters.
And I told my daughters, we ought to approach our relationship through a SWOT lens because it's a very efficient way to talk about it, to assess it.
And since that time, and that was when Judd was 17 years old, she's 28, 11 years ago, I've used this in relationships.
And when I talk to businesses, I usually say, hey, I'm going to give you a hack.
This really works with businesses, but it really is special when it's personal relationships.
I say this? We will put in the show notes for anyone who wants to see the SWOT outline so that you can do it with your spouse, your kids, your small group.
Also, I'll tell you starting off and I tell my business friends this, be very careful if you do this without a third party.
Jamie and I are not going to get as deep as we do when we do this in our marriage, but we're going to give you some highlights.
But if you, if you're doing this, I would encourage you to have a third party in the room, maybe in your marriage might be smart to have somebody knows you real well or marriage counselor, because if you're not careful, it can get off the rails and get a little sensitive, Jamie.
I know we've done that before where it's a little defensive, but, So this is in the spirit of getting better, truly understanding a relationship.
