Sam SminkGuestRomeHostGoing back to when you first started to where you are now, is there a story you can tell us that You were, you wanted to do a story or you wanted to like, you know, investigate something specific, but it didn't happen and you were down.
What exactly did you do to keep going to get to where you are right now?
I mean, there's been a few stories over the years where, you know, you hear from people, you think there's something there, but you know, either those people are afraid to come forward or you can't get the documents to back it up and you have to eventually drop it.
And, you know, it hurts my heart every time I do have to drop something, but I remind myself that there are still other stories out there to tell.
So yes, there's that disappointment, but that doesn't mean that you give up on all the other stories that, that you can tell.
And, you know, I still sometimes keep in touch with those people that I ultimately couldn't tell their story.
But, you know, I was still there to try to help and be there for them to talk about it when it's sometimes their worst moments.
You know, one thing when I was in West Palm Beach, Florida, I would hear all these things about the Catholic church system there.
And, you know, they did once upon a time have some priests that were caught up in that entire scandal.
And, you know, I heard about some going on, some things still happening, but I mean, it's a religious entity, very hard to get records and there was nothing I could really do with it.

So basically, you just got to keep going.
Don't let the disappointment stop you.
And definitely with the advent of social media in one way, social media has been so good.
And, you know, when people hide behind a screen, they say some not so nice things.
