Columbus Day: We Must Lead in The War to Defend Western Civilization

Oct 13, 2026 · 1 hr 4 min · 27 segments

It’s Columbus Day, America. And I’m not apologizing for it. While the professional grievance industry spends another year trying to turn a man who risked everything to open the New World into a cartoon villain, the rest of us are supposed to sit quietly and pretend Western Civilization just appeared by magic. It didn’t. Men like Columbus made it possible. Flawed, courageous, driven by faith and ambition, he same ingredients that built the freest, most prosperous civilization in human history. The people who want to erase that don’t just hate a holiday. They hate the inheritance itself. That’s the real fight. Not statues. Not names on a map. The war to defend the West is happening right now in school boards, in boardrooms, in the border crisis, and in the midterms. If we lose the culture, the elections become a formality. If we win the culture, everything else gets easier. That’s why Mayor JD Longo is back with us today. Marine combat veteran, mayor of Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania, the kind of man who still thinks duty matters and who understands that Pennsylvania is ground zero for whether this country keeps its nerve or keeps apologizing. We’ll hit the midterms, the numbers, the Fetterman-McCormick dynamic, the visa fraud Vance just called out, and what it actually takes to stop the slow-motion surrender. #RobManess Discover other shows on the Talk Red Podcast Network, and get your daily fix of news, sports, and entertainment at https://TalkRed.com.
