10/16/26 - SOS poll results, Everyone gets nasty, What happened to JAG?

Hope you're having an awesome Friday.

The big news was the poll is out.

This is the first truly independent poll that has been done in the state of Indiana, Free Press Indiana.

And man, the numbers are super interesting.

So yesterday...

So the way this worked was Free Press Indiana, they're a nonprofit news agency.

They work with various news outlets across the state.

They have their own news outlets such as Mirror Indy here in central Indiana.

And they commissioned a poll.

And obviously they want to promote that.

They want to get publicity for themselves, for their organizations, for their news outlets out of it.

That's why they paid to have it done.

So they have to reach out to various media outlets and say, hey, would you be interested in talking with our people when the polls come out? And part of the way they entice you to do that is they say, we're going to give you the polling early, but you can't tell anybody until we release it.

They want you to see the numbers.

So you'll want to interview them, talk with them about it.

And coming up here at 10 o'clock, we're going to talk with Lindsay or Doty of free press, Indiana, uh, About the polling results, about what they say about the poll itself, about what we think it's telling us right now about Hoosier, how Hoosiers are feeling.

So yesterday they gave us permission to release and discuss a whole bunch of numbers.

We talked about the approval ratings of Braun.

We talked about the approval ratings of Trump.

We talked about the overwhelming opposition to data centers.

We talked about how people were feeling about property taxes.

All of those things we were given permission to release and talk about on Thursday.

They said, hey, you got to hold the statewide stuff, the statewide polling until Friday.

And of course, the big one was the secretary of state's race.

And it is out.
