I watched the interview with Todd Young on 21Alive on the eve of the flock camera vote, and was mortified that he encouraged people to trust the vote of elected officials.

But I live in Fort Wayne and knew the electorate officials were conducting a forum to listen to their citizens.

Government by the people.

And so I get a real bird's eye view of what members of Congress say to their constituents and how they react.

In fact, Monday, just earlier this week, I was with Senator Todd Young, a Republican in his home state in Indiana, who is an unequivocal supporter of Ukraine, and we talked about it on the stage.

So let me give you a story, and then I'll get to the polls.

Last spring, during April recess, spring break, I call it, I traveled to three Republican conservative senators' hometown in five days.

They have tried to get a War Powers Resolution before President Trump was elected.

During the Biden administration, the senator from Indiana, Todd Young, co-wrote draft articles on the War Powers Resolution and explained how important it was that Congress do its job under the Constitution and authorize the use of force if it's going forward.

And then he was AWOL when those votes came.

So yes, we have a serious problem inside the U.S.
