Blake Murphy and Matt Bonner break down the Raptors’ comeback win over the Clippers, including Scottie Barnes’ dominant fourth-quarter takeover, his role throughout the game, and whether Toronto’s…
The Raptors, their coffee didn't hit, I guess, until there was about, I don't know, five minutes left in this game.
I mentioned earlier, they take their first lead at 208 left in the fourth quarter.
Not without drama, the Raptors turning it over on an inbound almost until a review and allowing a couple threes, but some good execution late.
What do you, when you see them turn it around like that, and I guess how surprised were you given how poorly they had played for the first three? 40 minutes of that game to see them do that? And what does it maybe tell you that they were able to pull that one out of the gutter?
The whole game, I'm just like twiddling my thumbs, wondering when they're going to turn it around.
Like I never felt like they were going to lose the game, the entire game, even though they were down pushing 20 points most of the night.
It just felt like at some point they were going to flip the switch and beat this team that they're clearly far superior to.
They outscored him by 20 points in the fourth quarter, Scotty Barnes, a huge part of that.
He was kind of sleepwalking the first three quarters and then fourth quarter, just take over on both ends of the floor, scoring, setting up his teammates, offensive rebounding, guarding Garland, taking him out of the game, uh,
The Clippers were playing with pace, forcing turnovers, pressure defense, and the Raps were on their heels.
And then finally, like I said, flipped the switch and took the game in the fourth quarter.
And I think, you know, you mentioned Scottie Barnes there in his comments to Regan Subban after the game.
