In this episode, Beck and Scully thank front offices for accommodating their schedules and limiting their transactional activity. Players discussed: JD Dix, SS, ARI Gavin Kilen, SS, SFG Edwin…
Yeah, and this is easy for us to mind-meld with our Wisconsin ties, you from Wisconsin wearing your Milwaukee Brewer hat, me still in the cheese state.
We went with cheese, obviously.
So my pick was a fella out of Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin, Craig Council's old stomping grounds.
I went with J.D. Dix.
He is in – he's going to be 20 this whole season, and he is in low A.
Putting up solid numbers.
He's a switch hitting right-handed, obviously, because he plays shortstop infielder.
So there's a lot of intrigue to this profile.
And he's proving some intrigue to be true.
Nine home runs, 18 bags so far this season.
Good for a 115 WRC+.
I think that's probably right on par with what you want a 20-year-old to be doing at low A. maybe you'd like him to be, you know, doing a little bit more after spending a top a round pick on him.
But it looks like fan drafts is pretty bullish on his profile moving forward.
He's a top five ish prospect in that diamond bag system.
Someone to keep an eye on.
I would expect us to be talking about him as the season goes on as he probably will get promoted to high a sooner rather than later.
I just checked, and Chris has him top 200.
I think that feels right.
And going back to what you said about this is about what you would expect a 20-year-old to be doing in single A, I think that makes sense.
I think there are arguments on both sides, one being this is his second stint in single A.
He spent 50 games there last year.
He's essentially copy and pasted what he did there in 2025, except he's slugging a lot more.
