On this week's episode of The Projector Podcast, Jeremy Glowacki and Brian Nadel discuss the recent InfoComm 2026, where we learned some insights into several of the most notable ProAV projectors…
I don't know exactly how I want to go about this, except maybe just stick with the brand until we go into, you know, I've got a few more things from Epson.
So we actually will soon be getting the PowerLite L270F projector, which is a conference room, classroom projector, but with the potential to be a crossover for a small auditorium because it's rated at 5,200 lumens and... you would never see that much light in a small projector, period.
I mean, these new high efficiency laser elements, blue laser diodes, are making this new market possible.
That size box would support maybe 3,500 lumens last year, 2,000 five years ago, and probably 1,500 before that.
Now 5,000 is the upper limit for something that is something you would hang from a ceiling in a classroom.
Yeah, and their big message there was Powerlight L. It's a whole family of projectors.
that has a slightly longer throw lens, so it really could be used in a 250-seat auditorium.
It won't match their installation projectors for certain things that people look for, like a longevity, a stability of image, more connection possibilities.
It used to be kind of a unique thing, but now we're looking at that in the immersive environment.
So you have a bright projector like this Epson L line, but you put the periscopic lens, you do lose some brightness through that
