Caroline and Coad both share their journey to meet Mia which involved the use of a strong mindset and tools to navigate curveballs at the end of pregnancy and during labour for the best possible…
thing to go through the biggest thing really in life
it is
and the most incredible it was amazing they really really really wanted to go into spontaneous labor my ideal birth was to have it walkworth that's where i really really wanted to go and i wanted to have this
it was literally just pushing out the time and advocating for another 12 hours another 12 hours and it paid off for us
i think If we didn't have that call with you, I'm not sure my body would have actually gone into spontaneous labor.
There was a huge fear there.
And so you did this amazing fear release, like emotional release exercise with me and to really help unblock that.
And I just remember getting off that call and just feeling this sense of real calm, real ease.
And I feel like that's what allowed my body to, it's that mind-body connection is just incredible.
And that's what allowed my body to just, it was then ready because things started that night.
I went into this zone and I was almost, I was just breathing through the waves.
Like, yes, they were intense, but I was just, I felt so calm.
I was almost sleeping in between them.
Yes, she was.
And yes, it is possible to sleep between the waves.
And this was probably a necessity for Caroline at that stage at labour because she'd just been told that despite feeling like she'd been in active labour for many hours, despite meeting her midwife at the hospital at 4am, Caroline had just been told that she wasn't even one centimetre dilated yet.
Can you imagine that? Yeah, imagine that.
Like, isn't that everyone's worst nightmare? Imagine thinking you're an active labour, your midwife does an internal,
you're not even one centimetre.
But this is where I want you to listen to the story because nobody could predict what Caroline's body would do next.
And I want you to hear how Caroline and husband Code responded beautifully to this situation.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's not what happens to you.
It's how you respond.
