She was born and raised in the Bay Area and finds inspiration in by our diverse communities and landscape.

She's a graduate of ACCHS in Oakland, where she received a master's in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine.

And Kate has 10 years experience as an educator and a clinical Western herbalist, and as a staff faculty at the California School of Herbal Studies, which is where I met her.

And as an herbal medicine practitioner and acupuncturist, she believes in the body's innate ability to heal when provided with the correct support and environment, which I love and I feel like is very much a part of the beauty of bitters.

So I'm linked through the herb school.

Um, I work as a acupuncturist and herbal medicine practitioner.

Um, and obviously I can't do acupuncture remotely, but I can do herbal support, um, and functional medicine support.

And the last time she was on the podcast, we talked mostly about Instagram, but she mentioned that TikTok has some unique advantages when it comes to reaching a local audience.

That caught my attention, and since then, I've started experimenting with TikTok for my own acupuncture practice.

The mechanics of this process starts with a recognition that there is a structure and organization to the energy flow throughout our physical body that is rooted in a pattern of meridian lines and points.

similar to that described in the ancient Chinese science of acupuncture.

These pathways and connections, however, are also links to complementary systems that are available to support and nurture our life experience.

A secondary organized pattern of energy flow is believed to exist within the earth itself, traveling through ley lines, which intersect at vortices across the surface of the planet.
