NBA Hammers Clippers Over Kawhi Leonard + J.A. Adande On Knicks Championship

Yeah, I was a big Mitchell Robinson guy.

I think it's going to be a huge hole for them, but we'll see because it's, you know, Leon Rose has really hit on a lot of these moves that he's made.

And what was your impressions with Leon Rose? I mean, obviously we saw with Bob Myers, that transition from the representation side to the team building side bore fruit for him.

What have you made of Leon Rose and, you know, the job that he's done coming from that side to winning a championship with the team in six years?

I mean, it's interesting that it's become the model, right? I think we're gonna see more of it now, the agents going into these executive roles, front office positions.

And I asked somebody this summer why that's been successful.

And they said, it's the relationship.

It's such a relationship business.

And as an agent, you cultivate these relationships with everyone around the league.

And I guess you have to have an eye for talent, too, right? If you keep signing the right guys coming out of college, you're not going to go very far or last very long as an agent.

So you do have to have an eye for talent, too, and pick the right people.

It does bother me that it never speaks to the media.

So, you know, on the one hand, you have to.

You have to give him all the credit for assembling this team and doing what none of his predecessors were able to do and bring a championship to New York.

But I don't like to see people rewarded when they mistreat the media this way.

And he was always someone when he was an agent, he and I got along fine.

But for him to just kind of freeze out the media completely, I think Spokane says, well, like 2024 or something.

That seems

like that's more above him than anybody.

I mean, nobody speaks to the media there at MSG, especially when you're in the executive ranks.

I don't know how many how much Mike Brown has done either.

I mean, it just seems like that that's above them, you know.

I mean, and I'm sure you've had experience with that as well.

Yeah, I mean, certainly the

tone is set from the top.
