Mens Room Question: What were you convinced to try, and was the result good or bad?
Anyways, uh, so what I was, uh, asked to try, I used to work with a bunch of Cambodians and, uh, they brought in this, uh, fermented pork sausage, and I'm gonna butcher this name.
It says, uh, Nom Sok Chruk.
Something like that.
Uh, they use fermented rice to go ahead and, you know, put it into a sausage, but it literally is the color of the devil's butthole.
Yeah.
[laughs]
You know, sometimes you go down a dirty road.
Anyway, um-
...
but they were like, "You're not gonna like this 'cause you're a white boy." And I'm looking at them, I'm like, "Yeah, but I'm 99.6% European, which means I love anything fermented, so give it to me." Uh, they literally bring it out, bright red, put it on the grill, get those char marks and everything.
It was one of the greatest sausages that I've ever tried in my entire life.
Sour, sour, porky, salty everything.
So if you get a chance, I highly recommend trying it out.
