Cambodian cuisine

Um, but the biggest thing I wanna do, I went somewhere brand new, never even heard of it until this weekend, Nom Pang.

It's a Cambodian sort of sandwich shop.

It's on Rancho, just south of Craig.

Mm-hmm.

Um, and so then after that, about eight of our group got together to have lunch at this place, and we were sharing some beautifully done ribs, sweet and sour, you know, cut into the smaller pieces so you can just pick it up with your, your, either your fork or your chopsticks.

Right.

They had these Cambodian, I don't know if there's another name for it, so I wanna be very careful in how I word this, sort of a Cambodian-style, like, banh mi.

Mm-hmm.

It's called Hot Yai.

And Hot Yai is doing, like, Cambodian-styled fried chicken where they're, like, just spatchcocking it and then, like, deep-frying it.

And it's dope as shit.

And you're basically dipping it into hot and sour sauce.

We're going to talk about the food in just a few minutes.

But insects are very popular in Cambodian cuisine.

And they eat a lot of insects.

There's actually a fried tarantula that is sold as a street food.

Or as the guys on WWE say, let's talk about it.

So the rest of the show is Cambodian cuisine.

Cambodian cuisine is an ancient tradition with rice as a major staple.

No, go, yeah.

But he's doing such amazing, I mean, just really interesting, you know, from like, you know, anybody who does like a pho kolache, which is so Houston, he's also putting a lot of his Cambodian background into his food.

Again, good coffee.

So, you know, it's just like, I don't know what your guys' favorites are there, but it's one of my favorite places to grab, you know.
