What are the most important math skills that students need to learn in order to be successful in your time?
Hmm.
An excellent question.
There are, of course, several.
One that springs to mind immediately is rote memorization.
To the contrary.
For instance, the sooner students memorize all of their basic arithmetic facts, the sooner they'll be able to do long division by hand.
Does it? It sounds rightfully important if you want to prepare students for a career as a clerk or a factory worker.
Are those common jobs in your time? I kind of pictured that by then most of those jobs would be performed by AI.

Artificial intelligence? Do you mean those newfangled mechanical brains I've read about?
Oh, they're quite impressive.
I believe the engineers at the University of Pennsylvania have built one that fits into just one or two rooms.
2050? Oh, good heavens, no.
