So can you tell me more about his background, the whole setup and kind of what he's working on right now?
There's a great friendly competition between our SEO channels and our paid channels of who can drive more revenue, sells leads for the company.
But we also realized we had this gap where we had lots of other fantastic marketers across the company who were there owning channels like webinars or events or ABN.
But in order to actually enable them to do this at large scale safely in ways where for our enterprises and we're handling all the data properly and robustly, we realized we actually needed to build out more of this platform and enablement for the marketers to do.
So the way we think about marketing engineering is it's really this enablement function for the marketers to then do their best work.
And so we split his time beyond the SEO and website work, his time split into two.
And any of the marketers in the company, when you're, say, you want to build a events automation to help you prep for the event you're going to and give you a deck of who's going and where they are in the pipeline.
You need to connect it to Slack, maybe connect it to Salesforce to do the data.
And so they have this conversation with the marketing engineer around how to do that first part of the architecture.
