This week on The Labia Lounge I'm rebooting an old classic. I've edited together the 3 episodes I recorded at Comfort Creek festival a couple of years ago, which was my first ever festival appearance…
Meg WilsonGuestSammyGuestSo as you might have heard on a recent podcast episode, I'm going to have to take a break from doing the live events, festivals, things like that where there's music in the background because I've got some gnarly stuff going on with my vocal cords actually and trying to avoid having to get surgery at the moment.
And so since I'm not going to put out any episodes like this from live Labia Lounge events, I thought I would re-release this.
This was the first ever festival that I set up the Labia Lounge at with the IRL Pussycatch.
It was actually a three-part episode, which I've now just edited down into one huge fucking episode.
Um, but there's some really cool stuff in there and I figured it was worth re-releasing because this was, oh God, nearly three years ago now, which is kind of crazy to think about.
So yeah, I just thought I'd give this one a reboot and chuck it back in rotation in case you haven't heard it.
And it'll just be regular episodes from now on for a little while because of my poor vocal cords.
I also wanted to say I'm looking for someone to join forces with me and jump on board as a co-pilot or a collaborator, maybe, you know, anything from podcast producer to manager to, uh, social media marketing expert, literally all of this stuff I could use a hand with.
But like the main thing is I would just love to be working with someone and not doing this alone.
Uh, It's so much more fun to share the wins and tackle the challenges with somebody else.
And, you know, I feel like I could take the labia lounge to bigger and better places if I had a bit of support and someone who shared the mission with me and had a similar vision for where we want to go with it and what I'm trying to do with it.
And so that's why it's been so difficult to find help, um, because I can't pay someone, but I was thinking if you knew like a uni student or something.
someone who's recently graduated and needs some hands-on experience for a portfolio, maybe looking for some volunteer-based work placement, you know, that kind of thing, this might be a really fun project for them to jump on board with.
So if you know of anyone or if you yourself might have a bit of extra time and you're aligned with my approach and my flavour and the mission here at the Labia Lounge, please get in touch with me because, yeah, I'm looking for a co-pilot and, yeah, Someone who gets excited about this shit as well.
I think it will just be so much more fun and potentially successful to do it with someone.
And I'm really open to, you know, like sharing the business and maybe even becoming business partners with someone.
Eventually, if it feels like a good fit and, you know, like actually turning it into something that maybe does profit us both one day.
So might be, you know, wishful thinking, but I thought I'd just put it out there in case this blows anyone's hair back.
