All right, so this is from Kelly Holodak.
Hi, Tony.
I've been a loyal listener for two years, and calling this content life-changing honestly feels like an understatement.
After having my second son in 2023, I headed back to the gym on a mission to lose the baby weight and rehab my back.
What started as a simple goal turned into a total transformation.
I ended up meeting an incredible 68-year-old trainer who became one of my closest friends, and through his guidance in your podcast, I went from just working out to becoming a complete health and fitness fanatic.
It's become my true passion.
I finally hit my pre-pregnancy weight of 135 pounds, 5'5", 37 years old.
But more importantly, I'm the strongest I've ever been.
Then the unthinkable happened.
I was out riding scooters with my six-year-old when I wiped out and shattered my leg.
The doctors described it as like jello.
I have a rod and nails in my tibia and a break in my fibula.
While the surgery went well, I'm currently struggling to process everything.
I'm devastated and honestly just heartbroken to be sidelined.
I'm reaching out to you specifically because you were the catalyst for this journey in the first place.
I'm looking for your honest take.
How do I keep my mental momentum alive when I can't move the way I'm used to? And when the time comes, likely six months to a year, How do I rebuild after such a significant injury without letting the fear of starting over take control? Thank you for being a constant voice of reason for me over the last two years.
Just getting this out and writing to you and the community already feels like a step in the right direction.
I'm really glad that you feel comfortable to share and that you know, you're only going to be supported.
