Trigger Warning - This Is Real Bad!

[upbeat music] Welcome to the Insiders Audio Night.

Massive week in, um, in the world obviously.

October, best month of the year for a European surfer.

Um, even though that can be, uh, subjected to Mother Nature.

Who knows? Um, would've liked to have got a few more episodes done over the last week, but obviously we're like you guys.

I've got to try and remember all the things I want to talk to, to, to our listeners tonight, Matty.

But, um, before we get into, um, let's say a few different topics, the current affairs, massive, uh, news dropping this morning.

A certain WSL surfer's been, um, suspended and he's lost all his sponsors.

Did you read anything? Do you know anything?

I know a lot.

Um, and I was- when I sent you the post yesterday, I was gonna be pretty certain that I would not speak about it on a podcast until we had more facts.

Um, but Al Cleland Jr. has been accused of sexual assault by numerous people and-

Yeah, that's what we're saying.

We're just relaying, we're just relaying information we've read.

I want our listeners to know we are clearly and categorically gossip mongers, but that's what our trade is.

Well, I want our listeners to categorically know my stance, not speaking for Darren here, he can butt in afterwards.

I 100% believe the girls.

I stand with the girls.

The strength and the, um, fear and the anxiety and every single thing else, it must be within you before you come forward.

Um, men will never understand.

Um, it is only men, and it's not every man, but it's only men that this...

And there is a problem.

And I feel responsible to talk about it because I am disgusted by it.

Like, I am...

It makes me feel sick.
