It's probably more for like calves-based surfing and, you know, occasionally you can hit the lip but it's difficult.

But I think – Brisa Hennessy did an awesome job where she did like the layback kind of snap, which is kind of carve and kind of a lip turn.

And that really got her the win.

That was awesome.

Yeah, also on the women's side, Brisa Hennessy won in Portugal at the event that just happened at Ribeira.

So she just jumped 20 spots up into contention.

She's now number four on the Challenger Series.

It was like straight from zeal, straight from one Portuguese tongue, straight into the trench of another Portuguese-speaking language, of course, the homeland.

And it was Brisa Hennessy and Crosby Colapinto taking out the finals, mate.

Four-man finals? Did they mention – like, I couldn't – I don't know if they gave an explanation for this because, yeah, like, I was sitting there going, what? What is this? Is it because it's a slower wave? Like, I couldn't have the volume up because I was sleeping next to my wife.

I'd lost my headphones.

Yeah, as you said, you know, Joel Vaughn, you know, he's coming off tour.

You know, Oscar Berry, you can see the difference in his surfing.

It says that there is a level, a monstrous shift that goes on with your surfing.

My first one, winner coming out of the Lexus Trestles Pro is Stephanie Gilmore.

Now, Steph went down to Brisa Hennessy opening round a competition, which... is an impressive, if not delayed, return serve from when Steph got Brisa in their opening round match at the WSL Finals at Lowers in 2022.

Now, obviously, with Steph's opening round loss at Lowers, her chances of making the cut and traveling to Europe and the Philippines ended.

She currently sits 17th on the rankings.

So I want to take a look at the women who didn't make the top 14.

So Yo-Yo Yolanda Hopkins, she came in at 14th.

She's going to go home and compete at Portugal and then head over to to the Philippines, but the women who didn't make it, falling just short, is Anat Leleor in 15th, Alyssa Spencer, Stephanie Gilmore, Brisa Hennessy, Tia Zabrowski, Vaheen Fiyero, Sally Fitzgibbons, Bella Kenworthy, and Francisca Veselko.

So we won't go into them specifically, each and go name by name, but pipe can show a lot of different faces.
