It's time for today's edition of ID Tech's Daily Digest. Today, we bring you stories from IDEMIA Public Security, BixeLab, Aware, SecuGen, FIDO Alliance, Receita Federal, Itaipu Parquetec, Tencent…
Starting off in North America, where IDEMIA Public Securities Web Capture SDK blocked all nine hundred biometric injection attempts in an independent evaluation by BixiLab.
Tested against European Level two standards across deepfakes, face swaps, and morphing, the software stopped every digital injection while posting a point six seven percent error rate on genuine users.
Also in the US, SecuGen has earned FIDO Alliance certification for its Unity 20 FIDO2 fingerprint key.
The standalone hardware device stores up to ten fingerprints and two hundred and fifty-five pass keys using a hardened glass optical sensor to keep biometric matching completely off connected computers and cloud networks.
Over in identity verification news, Encode has added GovPhotoMatch to its GovMatch suite, letting companies check driving license photos directly against state motor vehicle databases across thirteen states using AMVA 3.0.
The check works for ID-only workflows without needing a live selfie, while Encode has also expanded its ServiceNow integration so help desk agents can run identity checks directly from user interaction logs.
In cybersecurity news, cannabis retailer Harborside has notified customers that their scanned ID details may have been exposed during a cloud breach at verification provider IDScan.net.
The filing claims photos were run through facial recognition via CBP's Mobile Query app, while government attorneys have asked the court to dismiss the case, arguing the encounters were isolated and followed policies protecting peaceful observation.
