The Death of Dave Rubin's Career

My brain is still in recovery mode from taking in so many high-level important ideas.

You know, I really didn't expect to kick off Pride by beating up on a gay guy, metaphorically, but I feel like it would be blasphemous to deny this gift that has been bestowed upon us by the woke goddesses.

So, of course, I am going to be talking about the Dave Rubin Jubilee Debate.

Now, as some of you know, I actually swore off Jubilee after they decided to platform self-proclaimed fascists in a debate against Mehdi Hassan, because as entertaining as some of their videos may be, I think it's gross to normalize and legitimize harmful ideologies for views and clicks.

And even though Mehdi was there to challenge them, it still felt really gross to give them a seat at the table in the first place as if fascism and white supremacy are respectable ideologies.

So I decided to stop watching their videos because I think this company is deeply immoral.

I mean, they produce headache-inducing slop for debate perverts, so it's not like I'm missing that much.

With all of that being said, they did the one fucking thing that they knew... myself and a lot of other leftists would not be able to resist.

They decided to have Dave Rubin debate 20 leftists.

I don't know how they pulled it off, but they did.

And we're going to talk about this.

Now, for those of you who are unfamiliar with Dave Rubin, He is a former liberal commentator who pivoted to the right after realizing that there wasn't much money to be made in the leftist liberal space.

And one thing that's always been abundantly clear about Dave Rubin, aside from how stupid he is, is that this man does not believe in anything.

Perhaps the one consistent belief he's held throughout all these years is that he believes Israel should be allowed to kill as many Palestinians as they want with impunity.

But aside from that, he doesn't give a shit.

Now, I'm not even sure if this man has an internal monologue.

He is a right-wing talking point machine.

He's dumb.

It's nothing but crickets up in his skull.

And that's kind of what Mason was referencing in that introductory clip.

Dave Rubin would interview anyone on the right without vetting them, from white supremacists to straight-up crypto-Nazis.

It didn't matter.

He would talk to people with the most controversial ideologies because that attracted the most eyeballs and revenue.

And he'd disingenuously do this under the pretense of engaging in the marketplace of ideas.

And he even platformed homophobes who tell him to his face he's a degenerate sinner.
