But how many times have we said it on this podcast that at the end of the game, if you're walking off with a win or three points as it is when we're talking about it, Does the result sheets have an asterisk next to it saying England were shit? No, it doesn't.

I thought Jed Spence was shocking although I don't think he had a lot of help from from Konca and Gehi on the goal I mean to me he's not even a Premier League fullback let alone an international fullback and how we've left Real Madrid's right back at home in lieu of taking taking Jed Spence is a complete embarrassment to me Edry Konca still is an area of concern for me um okay he was the slightly better of the two center backs um and then nico at left back i thought okay rice and anderson rice's set pieces are so poor so poor um it It's so frustrating when you look at how effective Arsenal have been from set pieces.

there wasn't one in the first half of that game yesterday that was effective in the slightest.

Elliot Anderson looked like he had other stuff on his mind, and it looks like with the news that's gone through today that he actually probably did have other stuff on his mind.

And really, I think the only two players, or the only two starters who come off that pitch with any kind of... any kind of grace was Kane and Bellingham, who I thought, again, rescued us from the shit.

We've seen too much sideways and backwards from him and not enough actually getting your head down and running.

I thought Rice at right back in that game in those circumstances worked quite nicely.

Not convinced that's one for the future, but I thought in those circumstances it worked all right.

Saka's obviously not fit, which raises the question, why the hell have we taken him? But, you know, with the other changes, I just thought they came and freshened things up and they actually did what the players they'd replaced hadn't done.

And everybody's seen all the stats and figures, et cetera, flying around social media today, you know, I just can't think of enough superlatives for him.
