Long ago at many times and in many ways God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world.
After making purifications for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the majesty on high.
Friends, as we preach about Jesus, we're not just talking about some little nice guy.
And my prayer for us here as a church community is that this revelation would crack open in our hearts that I'm in relationship with God.
Week two, last week on our home gathering resource, Stacey preached so well around Jesus, the better rest.
These are three people that God would individually choose and say, you are now a prophet.
He would choose a priest and say, you are now anointed to make sacrifices from God to the people.
Then he would anoint a separate king and he'd say, you are anointed to oversee and lead and govern and rule the people.
Three separate officers we'll see in the Old Testament, but what we realise is Jesus is every single one of them.
Jesus is the prophet, Jesus is the better priest, and Jesus is the better king.
