Wednesday, Oct 14

All right, the lineup for today, as I already said, we got Matt Coulter on NASCAR at 9.30, breaking it down.

Boy, it has been hot, and it has been fast, and it has been intense as they close in on a champion for the 2026 season.

Then at 10.30, Larry the Music Man.

We're staying in the 60s.

and got a couple of spotlight artists that we're going to talk about this morning at 1030.

Also, as I said, your phone call is welcome, and we'll get to the phone calls here in just a moment.

Marion, Atlanta, Corey, and Trustful, you guys hold tight.

We're going to get to you.

205-342-9904 is that number.

Also, Micah, I should have sent it to you from the TV station because we were over there yesterday, but let's try to find that Nate Oates audio from yesterday over at...

the SEC tip-off event at Mountain Brook when Alabama basketball men and women were there yesterday.

The event will wrap up today.

Of course, the big news yesterday is LSU was a no-show, saying that they were fogged in at the airport, but that was disappointing to a lot of people because of Will Wade and Kim Mulkey, two of the most colorful coaches, obviously, in the league, and, of course, all the issues that LSU's... been having with the SEC, but they did not make it.

And Nate Oates celebrated his 52nd birthday yesterday at the SEC tip-off event.

So we'll get to some of that Nate Oates audio for you here at some point in the show as well.

Some news and notes, of course, obviously the countdown to kickoff in Knoxville is on, Alabama and Tennessee.

It'll be the 2.30 kick.

Well, they say 2.30 Central.

It'll be about 2.42 before it actually kicks off.

But on ABC, and some people have asked me about the history of the series, and I kind of dropped the ball on that one.

I meant to get a former player on today.

We'll do it on Friday because tomorrow I'm booked with Ellis Johnson, D. Orlando, Ledbetter, and Jeff Spiegel.

And Jeff and I can talk about it.

And Ellis obviously coached in the series.

Two different occasions with Alabama.
