But interesting, I'm, I'm, I'm actually gonna be using Grisham as an example in an article I've got that I'm writing in the next couple of weeks, because I believe that John Grisham is responsible for the complete change in the perception of lawyers and how lawyers are represented in movies and on TV.

'Cause if you look at, um, if you look at movies with lawyers in, um, through the '70s and in fact through most of the '80s, the lawyer is either the villain or if they are the hero, they are a very particular type of hero.

We're not talking an action hero, we're not talking somebody who's gonna be great with their backs to the wall.

We're talking about movies like "The Verdict", we're talking about "12 Angry Men", although that's not really about the lawyers.

The lawyer is, is, you know, your, your, your Matthew McConaughey, your Tom Cruise, et cetera.

You know, that I had never thought about that, but that's, that's not crazy at all.

Um, he, he may have changed perception with his terrible books, if nothing else, changed the way that people think about, um, the lawyer.

If you, if you look at how lawyers portrayed in 2026 or, or even in the, let's just say the 2000s compared to how we were portrayed in the '70s and '80s even, it is a very, very stark difference.
