Eric LewallenGuestWe'll go back and forth, I think, is what we're gonna do, 'cause I really wanna talk about seals.
There's a lot of things I wanna talk about seals, 'cause I, I love the babies, the pups.
I did, you know, I- are you familiar, there's a sa- a seal sanctuary in England on the East Coast.
I've had those on, and the family's had it forever, and they're, they're just such a wonderful family and doing all these really cool things.
I grew up in California, so I've been all along the coast with all the seals and stuff too, and plus I've spent a lot of time down in Baja.
But I wanna talk about the seals because I'm really curious for a variety of reasons, is that, you know, in the 19th century when these guys, you know, w- you know which direction I'm going, there were hardly anybody left, 'cause, you know, I think I may have told Eric, I did an episode on the vaquita-
... which is the same idea, but let's go with you, and I wanna talk into, uh, let's go there, interbreeding and all that kind of stuff.

[laughs] Um, so yeah, I, um, I worked first in the Antarctic fur seals, uh, and they are, you know, they, it's weird how they have their, their common names because they're actually, uh, in the same, uh, s- sea lion family.
