Were we wrong about Kaspa? That's the question the host sits down to tackle with Greater Good Mining in this episode of The Everyday Miner Podcast, taking an honest, unfiltered look back at where…
Yeah, I mean, thinking back, I think when I think back as to that time period, I had almost half of my sheds were Casper miners.
I mean, I went pretty big on that.
And I look at this from the mining side, like the straight profitability side.
And that is very contentious.
You can always tell on Twitter, it's very contentious with...
the Caspa cult following.
Every project has these cult followings, right? Where it's like, they live and breathe it through and through, and they're not even looking at like, what is the price of the token, right? And it's really hard talking with those people, to be honest with you, because it's like, guys, listen, I'll be straightforward.
I really don't care about the projects in that regard.
I have to put the mining side of it first.
And it really comes down to, because I always tout this, I've touted this along the way.
It's like, I'm not running a charity.
Like running a miner is extremely expensive.
That's one, let's say you run one Casper miner.
Well, if that same Casper miner makes me $50 a month, It's then costing me $200 just to like out of that.
And I'm not making anything off of that.
Like it's costing me money to like participate.
And it's like, man, I might as well just buy the token in that regard.
That being said, looking back, my mindset was always like, hey, can I use Casper as a highway? That was always my intent.
It was like, can I use it as a highway to get to my long-term goal, which is a larger Bitcoin holding? that's with most of these like tokens out there now i'm still holding a lot of my original casper to be honest with you i'm not as much as a lot of these whales out there i have about ten thousand dollars worth of casper that i'm sitting on now and that's it i like sold everything else previously um it's sitting there i'm not doing anything with it uh but like my mindset has really changed because while i was a big fan of caspa as the price has slowly gone down and i'll throw it over to you just to um add some insight from from the for the community side why or what has happened let's say what has transpired since our glory days to now as miners with caspa that uh has really made it unprofitable to mine
