You know, the judges must have to, at that level, to really prepare themselves so that they feel, I'm ready, I can do this.

So things move into almost the... know there's always that scale from consciousness to unconscious and it's got a few steps in it they move into that area where it's almost automatic the brain is accepting the information it sees translating that into assessment and they've had so much experience over so many years

so many times they've judged these movements that they've got their line and Of course, there's always occasions for the level four five-star judges to meet once a year to go through a few movements, let's say, and have discussions and so on.

And we say to our young judges, because I've got lots of people here in Australia that might be listening, you know, For a young judge starting off in their career, it's like everything is conscious.

And you're not fast enough in sort of talking and assessing because the test is moving on and you've got to keep up with it.

You know, sometimes you have that moment when you think, oh, my goodness, I've turned to the left because I always do that.

develop as a dressage judge too so you've got this ability to speak because the comment is important

important and i have to say the judges were great they had comments on everything that's yeah it was really good so give that comment and then make your assessment for the mark you're going to give

You know, it's good to, it's really good to hear from, I think, that angle because the judges really have to be very prepared.
