Okay, so Jesus is giving this parable, and in it there's this image of a vineyard, a place, a land where you grow grapes.

And this image that Jesus is giving, this example, is familiar to the religious people because in the Old Testament, in Isaiah chapter 5, there Jesus, God writes or it's written about, again, a vineyard and God's people.

There was a landowner, so that's the person who owns the land, who planted a vineyard.

He put a wall around it, dug a wine press, a wine press is what crushes the grapes, in it and built a watchtower.

The watchtower is the tower that can be used to watch over the vineyard and to protect it.

When the harvest time approached, he sent his servants to the tenants to collect his fruit.

In verse 33, the farmers are called tenants because they're taking care of the land.
