The Daily 10 w/ Matt Chernoff November 3, 2026 - Presented by Prizepicks

Let me mention, I don't get caught up too much in these, especially early the first several weeks.

They're more like power rankings for entertainment purposes.

And remember what the edict was when these playoff rankings were to be released.

One is supposed to be completely independent of the next and the next after that.

Now, I don't trust the playoff committee, so...

I am interested to see their explanation of the order of the ranking more so than actually the ranking itself.

Now we'll talk about where I think these teams are going to land here in a moment, but Georgia gets ready to face Ole Miss on Saturday.

The dogs are a three and a half point favorite.

The reason I tell you these things really don't matter.

It's an entertainment vehicle.

Well, it's going to look very different for either Georgia or Ole Miss, depending on the result of this game Saturday.

So if this was the final poll, sure, we could get all hot and bothered by it, but For now, it is a way to garner reaction and conversation, which I'm fine with, too.

But Georgia's just one of many games this Saturday which will mess with these rankings one week from now.

Showdown Saturday gives us six games that have matchups of teams that could be playoff champions.

clubs when the season's all said and done, and the rankings will look different after this week.

For instance, number one Miami at number four Notre Dame, number seven BYU's at number three Utah, number eight Kentucky at number 16 Tennessee, number nine Bama at number 15 LSU, and number 10 Texas at number 19 Missouri, along with the Georgia Ole Miss game.

So there could be teams that are virtually eliminated this weekend, maybe picking up a third loss, although I think this is a year of third losses.

might not completely eliminate somebody from the SEC.

Here's how I think the top two will go tonight.

This is the easy part.

Miami will be number one.

Georgia will be number two.

After that, good luck trying to think like the committee.

It could be in some order, Utah, Indiana, Kentucky, UCLA, BYU.

And then you start taking a step back and you think, well, okay, what is the committee looking for beyond just the record? Anybody can rank records.
