Maria WhiteheadGuestTracyGuestOff Maria's advice, we have come up to the hill and the church to get the view over Hawkshead, and it is absolutely just so beautiful.
She's absolutely right.
And I feel so relaxed.
I mean, I haven't really had to think.
We've come here on the bus.
It's been brilliant.

I mean, it's so... it's such a typical Cumbrian village, and there's so much.

There's so much in the way of local food and drink and local produce, little delis and places.

And it's a great place if you want to push yourself to walk and cycle locally.
Oh, and also, um, just down the hill I know is the Hawkshead Grammar School Museum, which is where the famous Lake District poet William Wordsworth studied, so, uh, a little bit of culture as well.
And of course we're not far from Hilltop-
...
So we're now on the bus, um, on the way to Coniston, and we're going down a small country road.
Um, Gemma, could you just describe a little bit the scenery, um, that we can see?

Yeah, so we're just coming up Hawkshead Hill at the moment, which is absolutely beautiful.

Little winding r- lanes, and you've got some traditional Cumbrian cottages and houses on the hillside, and then rolling meadow either side.
And just to talk about, um, the type of ticket we bought to do this day out.
