The Journey & Trials of Passion w/Chris Thomas (Your Passion 1st)

I definitely want to hear more about that because the work that you do inherently is spiritual because when I started, it was, I'm pretty sure it was 2022, I think, when we were on the calls, the international programming that we did between the Brazil, U.S., and South African ambassadors.

And that to me was just so amazing because that was my first time having those international connections, you know, and we're all focusing on exploring our talents and passions in a time which is so...

That was so tumultuous.

You know, during the pandemic, we don't know what's really happening in the world.

But I feel Your Passion First really anchored us with something to do and still drive towards and have those connections, which it takes a lot of energy to make sure that, yeah, you have to be sound of mind.

You have to be willing to be vulnerable and to help one another in that state.

So...

I want to circle back around to that, to the faith-based part, because your relationship to faith, I feel, is very interesting to me because there can be a lot of stigma around, how do you say?

Around church.

Yeah.

And around, like, hey, go to church.

Got to do this.

Yeah.

You know?

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

So I go to Chicago Bible West, shout out to Pastor John, Pastor Kent, love them.

But I went to a retreat last year and it was the first retreat that I've ever gone on.

related to my faith i've gone on other ones but it got me to understand that it's not about going to church it's about the relationship that you have with something more than you right like this world is bigger than just us and so you know whether you believe in god or buddha or allah have a faith in something that interconnects all of us.

And, you know, it's been a journey and it still is a journey.

I wouldn't say that I have the best relationship with God.

I will say I'm building a better relationship with Him than with myself.

And I think that would be the thing I would say to anyone that has a stigma around it, it's like, you gotta have faith in something, right? We're not put here on this earth by ourselves.

And so, there's a lot of churches out there that may not be the right fit for you, right? There's religions out there that may not be the right fit for you, You know, some of my more diehard Christians would say, well, it's only God and God is the only God.

And if you don't believe in God, then you're going to hell.

And it's like, but really? Because what percentage of the earth is Christian? It's not a hundred.
