Episode 18: Redskin Football is here with Coach Casey Chester!

Yeah, all the stars are aligning with this because we have our football season starting.

Got a good team this year.

Got a lot of expectations, a lot of hopes.

And then at the same time, we are rolling out the Pocahontas or Randolph County, excuse me, Halls of Fame for both sports and for business.

But today, with today's episode, we really want to invite our listeners and viewers to go online.

and vote for your candidates for the Sports Hall of Fame here.

A lot of playmakers and a lot of stars that we need to put into a Hall of Fame.

It's been a long time coming.

Yes, and any booster.

If you know someone who cared about the sports program in Randolph County, and in particular even at Pocahontas, and you know someone who contributed either time, they drove the bus a whole bunch, or they showed up to every game and had extra water for their players, nominate them.

Because it's not just our coaches and players who are involved.

It's also the community around them that helps make the Progons Redskins and Maynard sports programs successful.

Absolutely.

And, you know, the sign behind us, the Chamber of Commerce is really the – perfect match to host the hall of fames because it's perpetual.

They're going to the hall.

The chamber of commerce is going to be here.

Uh, it can, it can drive this, uh, for many, many years into the future.

So this, we finally found a home, I think for the halls of fame, uh, to be handled and conducted appropriately and finally get some of these, uh, meaningful people in these important areas of our life recognized, uh, forever.

Yeah.

And, uh, And the actual award will be presented at the Randolph County Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards Banquet in October.

And then if you want to view the award, if you want to take some more photos with it, it's going to be actually at our

Randolph County Heritage Museum.

That's right.

Right across the street from the chamber in the Pocahontas Town Square.

So it's really great that we have these two institutions working together, the chamber and the museum, to maintain this program for many years to come.
