Check In - Jets first road test comes in Detroit

Sarah and Jamie here getting you set for the Winnipeg Jets and Detroit Red Wings this afternoon in Detroit.

And with this being an early start for us at 1030, that's because the game is at noon central.

Yeah, that's an ideal start for the first road game of the year.

I woke up today in panic mode.

Yeah? Yeah, because I was like, oh, yeah, we have a show.

Oh, yeah.

I just did a show.

What are we supposed to be doing? I just

did a show.

Now I've got to do another show.

So, yes, but it's great there in Detroit.

Lots to talk about here today, namely opening night.

Lots of great things.

Daniel Fink, the voice of the Manitoba Moose, will be stopping by here in about 10 minutes to talk about opening day yesterday and lots of things coming out of that.

And then Trevor Thompson.

A longtime reporter in Detroit will be telling us what's going on in the Red Wings.

That could be a half an hour all in itself.

I felt so bad every question I asked him because it was all negative.

I felt like I was capitalizing on their misery.

That's pretty much what it was.

So it's just like, if you feel bad about the loss on opening night, I have someone else that has much worse things to tell you.

They were booing on opening night.

He has a great explanation about why the Red Wings marched Dylan Larkin out to face the faithful.

I saw a lot of great jerseys in Detroit that night as well.

We saw some original ones here too.
