In Episode 48, Alan Barrington Evans returns to the pod! Alan, Noah, and Blake talk about Alan going on tour with the band Halestorm as their photographer, life on the road, and living his dream job.
now that's been a good that's been a good relationship i mean it was kind of interesting that the codec thing happened like right as that episode was happening i mean that was pretty weird timing We couldn't have planned ourselves.
Yeah, it is.
And
And it was like, you know, from what I understood, it was like, you know, Eastman's going to keep film at a certain price.
Well, now Alaris, because all that, seems to be like they're dropping the price.
five-pack of Portra... 400 and then what is it ectocolor 400 or whatever they're calling it it's five or seven dollars cheaper yeah but you got to be careful like we make make it even talk about this on the podcast because you know bnh has got some of the better prices i think just because the volume they do and all that but if you pull up like you know if you don't type in like directly type in like ectocolor 400 portra will will be at the top yeah it's gonna be at the top and if you don't scroll down you're gonna miss out on a deal but yeah because i usually at the time portra and ectocolor were the same so whatever popped up first i just i just bought it checked out
yeah
but i scrolled down the other day i was like oh shit you know ectocolor's been cheaper
I was talking about the differences between A to Color and Portra, other than name, right? And someone, I'll leave them anonymous, said that they had a conspiracy theory that they think that they are different.
Like, the film stocks are different.
Because they were saying the results that they've been getting are much different than what they were getting with Portra.
Because what we've been told is like, oh, it's just a rebrand, or it's just like distribution's changing, but everything else is the same.
And this person with their tinfoil hat was like, I think there's a difference.
And...
I forget which film group it was, but they were showing side-by-side comparisons, and it looked different.
But also, if you don't scan it the right way, and depending on what type of scanner, I mean, Josh talked about it.
