Are the Raiders Actually Different This Time? | Ep.362

So Raiders lost to the Chiefs.

We have said that exact sentence on this podcast nine times.

A lot.

Too many.

Way too fucking many.

But this one feels different.

And I'm not trying to do a rehash of that game.

As you guys are watching this, this is Thursday.

The game was Sunday.

We're not recapping the game.

Soto did the post show.

It's not what we're doing here.

But the reason why this game was so important is Was because when this game went down, right? Before the game happened, Raiders were 3-0.

Everyone's stoked.

Raider Nation's happy.

But everybody, including us, Soto, was asking, are the Raiders for real? Right? 3-0.

But the combined record of the opponents was 1-8.

Some of the things that made the Raiders successful, it was kind of questionable whether it was sustainable or not.

All those takeaways.

The lowest in the league in penalties.

Kirk Cousins playing lights out.

It was like, okay, it's a fair question.

If you're not talking shit, if you're like, the Raiders are 3-0, is this just kind of a blip in the system because of the opponents? Or is this the start of something legit? And I feel like the Raiders were the perfect team, or I'm sorry, the Chiefs were the perfect team to do this.

I tweeted this out before the game.

And this is why I feel like not just the Chiefs are good, that's kind of a lazy way to put it, but the Chiefs were good in the way that would test what the Raiders were good at.
