Is your accounting firm caught in a race to the bottom? With major tech players flooding the market with $97 automated tax plans, it's never been easier to feel like your professional expertise is…
Dominique MolinaGuestMichelle WeinsteinHostThanks so much for always being a special guest here on The Abundant Accountant podcast.
And for those that don't know who you are, I'd love it if you could share a quick, uh, 30 seconds to a minute of what you do for those, uh, listeners that maybe don't know who you are, and I always think it's best to come from you versus me.

We're the largest tax planning association in the country, and we work with certified tax planners and strategists to help them use value pricing, make premium fees by delivering high, high results for their clients through advanced tax reduction.

And so our whole model here is that you're not competing on price, you're competing on results.

You're competing on the results that you create for your clients, and we do that, uh, uh, by using the tax law to our advantage to help people pay a lot less in tax.
And I know that there are, you know, some bigger players entering the market on tax planning.
We're gonna talk about how you can't out volume them, and we have to really focus on the value that we provide versus focusing on quantity, which is what other bigger companies focus on.
So what do you think, Dominique, has been the shift that you've seen in the world of tax planning since you've been the lead and spearhead of this for quite a while now?

... and we've seen a lot of change in that time, uh, back when nobody was talking about tax planning.

And of course, we're seeing some bigger players come into the marketplace, but what happens is really what happens in the mind of the clients as, um, the messaging gets more exposure, right? There's a big problem and a danger when clients think tax planning means software output.

And so we s- we're seeing the commoditization of tax planning, right? Um, when we see some big players call what they sell tax planning and sell it for $97, for example, then your $10,000 plan is suddenly compared, and people don't really understand how we're different.
