Send us Fan Mail Ben Ventress is a lifelong skateboarder and the founder of Project, one of Australia’s largest skateboarding distribution companies…
Hey, listen, tell us who you are and what you do.
Let's go.
Yeah.
Yes, you are.
So tell us about projects.
What
brands that you mainly hold?
So we've always stuck in our lane of just importing the best brands we possibly can and selling them and supporting the Aussie skate shops around the country.
don't sell online?
It's always been a conscious decision to never compete against the people that we're selling to.
So you see that a lot and we're all about... long-term you know the growth in skating and growth of the stores and i think trying to be as ethical as we possibly can within the business that we run um jim thebo who we work with at deluxe he is like the moral compass of skateboarding so the amount of times that we've said what would jim do in our business is insane so it was like um what would Jim do in any given situation to, you know, trying to make the best possible choice that we can, you know, with business in mind but also skateboarding in mind as well.
And often the two can conflict but they can get along and we just try to do the best we can with it.
You don't hit him up for life advice?
