Team USA 40k - Episode 5 - Practice Weekend

So, the focus of this week was that we attended practice weekend last week.

And we had to do practice weekend a little bit different from normal this year.

Like, as far as, like, timing goes.

oh yeah i mean the so the timing of the event this year you know between us the walls and our noble listeners is a uh it's a bit of a shit show right um the uh there is no way to do our usual method which is we wait for the list to go live and then we grab as many players as we can and we have them play our oppositional lists and our starters play their solid locked in list against the opposing lists and we try and figure out the matchups that way.

That is not a thing that we can do because our country is too big.

Yeah.

Well, this year also, the lists are going to go live later than normal.

Oh, yeah.

Yeah, we have, what, a week between...

yeah so okay let's see if i got the dates on memory my i believe that lists are due uh i think like is it if you do like a sunday at midnight or if you do a monday at midnight

they're due i know the day they're the 27th is the 27th is the monday

so then i i think they're gonna go live almost instantly or like a few hours later yeah it's like don't wait forever

yeah lock an hour or so live um at least for internal checking like the the teams will have them that day

yeah once the teams have them they get spread out pretty quickly honestly that's so so that's like the 27th or 28th and then the 13th is day one and so the that gives us like literally one weekend in between in which we could theoretically host a practice weekend which would be if we and this would be kind of crazy if we did it on like the i think it'd be the 8th and the 9th yeah the 8th and the 9th are the saturday sunday The problem is that we're

the first and the second, right? Because a bunch of us fly the seventh and the eighth.

Yeah, it's like it doesn't really work.

Yeah, it's because everyone has to kind of go around the country.

It would be asking people to essentially do back to back weekends of flying across the country and then flying across the globe.

and we didn't think that would work one of these years i want to i want to do the in-person practice weekend in europe i just you know once i uh once art of war takes off and i'm uh you know i'm a humble millionaire yeah once i'm a humble youtube millionaire i i think i'll i'll try to rent us a space in europe for like the weekend before sure you know invite some of our our good european friends who aren't french over um sorry we love you guys just not enough to practice with you You can

invite the French if they stop winning and go back to getting like 14th or whatever, but until then...
