Margot Robbie

I'm sure you've read this, but what's interesting to me is how long ago this was.

Martin Scorsese in Time Magazine, when you made the list of the...

Oh,

gosh, yeah.

Right? Margot Robbie is like no one else.

That's what Margot Robbie is like.

With Margot, you can recall some classic precedents.

Carol Lombard for her all-bets-off feistiness.

Joan Crawford for her grounded, hardscrabble toughness.

Ida Lupino for her emotional daring.

Margot has all this in addition to a unique audacity that surprises and challenges and just burns like a brand into every character she plays.

And that's Martin Scorsese, right?

I mean, there'll never be a bigger compliment than that.

I couldn't believe that when I read it, you know? I mean, it just, it continues to be a pinch-me moment day after day ever since I got to this town.

But yes, no, I mean, he's the GOAT.

And to get a compliment like that and be referred to as, it's just incredible.

So what struck me, Carol Lombard, I get instantly, and I get Joan Crawford.

I mean, I get all three of them.

I didn't get the Ida one, but I'm thrilled.

So with Ida Lupino, what's interesting is that this was at the end of 2016, and she And you had not yet, because I, Tanya, was not out yet.

No.

You hadn't even produced a movie.

And Ida Lupino, famous as one of the trailblazer and actress who then became a filmmaker.

She made eight pretty good movies.

Hitchhiker, great movie.
