The Lord who saves
So this event is very important insofar as it's recorded in, in three gospels out of four.
It is significant.
Luke didn't mention this whole walking on the water, even though the five-- the feeding of the 5,000 is definitely in Luke.
So we have this event, important manifestation of the power of Jesus walking on the water.
In Mark, however, and in John, we don't have the account of Peter himself coming out of the boat and, and wanting to walk towards Jesus.
And it is quite significant that Matthew has put this in it where Mark and John didn't think it was worth mentioning.
Um, in, in Mark, the, the disciples are just frightened and, and then Jesus, uh, makes himself known and then gets into the boat, and they arrive.
The same in John.
But in Matthew, Peter has this whole thing about wanting to come out of the... on... and walk on the water.
