Week 2 Review - Week 3 Preview

I wanted to jump on here and do something a little different.

Give us a little look of what we are seeing as an entirety of a conference, because these things do matter.

I know a lot of people say, I only want to share for my team.

I don't really care what anybody else does.

I think that sentiment is falling a little bit off, which is good.

We really do want and need our teams in conference to win all of their games outside of conference.

Obviously, that's not realistic, but that's what we're trying to accomplish and work towards.

The reason the American has so much confidence Prevalence and name recognition across the country is because their teams have gone out and done that year after year.

Obviously, Sunbelt making the CFP last year with James Madison is going to help the Sunbelts brand and name recognition a little bit.

Winning more games will help the most.

So we're going to take a look at that real quick.

So a little bit closer look at the records as we've got them right now.

Week one, like I said, 10-4 overall record.

Week two, just 7-7, so not quite where we want it.

We want at least a winning record every week.

If you want to look at it kind of an easy, short, simple way, obviously, again, A lot of FCS opponents in week one, not quite as many in week two.

The competition stepped up and got a little bit tougher, which is what we also want to see, right? We want to see our teams challenged.

So important to see those types of things play out.

We just want to come out on the right side of more of those.

But we're going to take a little bit closer look than just that.

We're going to look at how the Sun Belt has gone and done against each conference.

And we're not going to look at the conferences within the FCS, but we will make a note that the Sun Belt is a perfect 12-0 currently versus FCS opponents.

That has to happen all the time.

We cannot have any of our teams get beat by FCS opponents.

The good news is, The average score was 50 to just over seven points for the FCS side of things.
