Hey! I'd love to hear your thoughts, send me a voice note. **Welcome to Success SZN** In the debut episode, Brandon Williams and Deneen Busby…
Deneen BusbyHostAnd I think as a part of this podcast, we want to make sure that that thread is weaved through everything we do on this podcast, because this podcast, the title is Success Season.
It's about talking about the ups and downs of who's who's ever story, whomever story that we're interviewing and we're talking to.
But my whole thought process was I want this story to be relatable to that generation that you're talking about that.
Eight year old to 17 to eight to 18 year old, eight to 24 year old that just needs that mentor.
And it's work that goes with being a mentor and it's work that goes with being a mentee.
And that saying is that what the teacher will appear when the student is ready.
it is right for you yeah it's ready to take on that yeah has the capacity to really understand because a lot of times when you think about mentorship you just think like it's going to take so much time out of my day out of my week yeah because because i think and maybe i'm speaking for myself because when i do something i want to do it at a certain level right and so i don't want to say i'm gonna be your mentor and we only talk once a month once every two weeks and i can't come to this event or that event because i have other things that i have to uh lock in for myself and so uh i look at it as just this big thing and this big component and now i've mentored young uh young men well young young guys who have are now adults And watch them.
And it would be a situation where in the beginning we would talk once a week, multiple times a week.
And then as they went to college, it was once every two weeks, once a month.
And then later on in college, it was once every couple of months just to check in, see how you're doing.
And then when they come in town, maybe they go to church or we go grab some lunch.
