Well, maybe before we wrap up here, we can just conclude with maybe some thoughts on what you're focused on today, your outlook for the market, and and how you're planning it.
It looks like they're going to be cutting rates twice next year instead of three to four times.
But what, you know, how are you, what are you focused on these days? What do you think might be interesting opportunities going forward?
Yeah, so that's I mean, the market's never surprised, right? Because the markets are going to be ups and downs.
But that's what I actually expect markets to kind of behave in 2025 is you're going to have this volatility rate as people still kind of figure out what is Fed going to do, what is interest rates going to be, where is the tenure going to be? I feel like underlying aspect is that Fed is still cutting.
And inflation has been dropping.
And whether they do two cuts, three cuts, one cut, it's cutting at some rate.
And economy is staying strong.
I mean, if you look at the S&P 500 earnings expectation next year, that's about 15% or so.
Now we have to see if that comes through, but that's the consensus, or at least that's the projection right now.
That's what moves markets at the end, earnings.
And the unknown is Trump's policies and how that will impact and whether that will create some turmoil.
But overall, I feel there will be I'm hoping that there will be broadening of the market, which has not happened this year.
That was something that I expected to happen, but it's not yet, which means that you had to own MAC-7, I guess, which I don't, but you had to own MAC-7 to really ride that.
But at some point, when you look at the relative valuations for small caps and mid caps, versus the big caps, these S&P 500, you see value in these aspects.
And if the economy doesn't crash, you can continue to hope that the money that's sitting on the sidelines as they come in, of course, there's going to help the big cap, but it should also help the small caps.
And that's where I'm focused on.
I'm trying to Also look at gold, which has been a holding of mine as a pure play gold ETF.
But I'm looking at gold miners as another area where you could continue to benefit.
And this is all going to the fact that the dollar's purchasing power is obviously deteriorating and has been declining, right? Relatively dollar is still strong because everybody else is still deteriorating for more.
But that's why I like companies like MGM Casino, because the money that you spend, the dollar value, the purchasing power keeps declining.
